I've been framed

 A lot of people won't like it and I have to admit that in places it looks like its been painted with a stick dipped in black treacle but at least it won't rust. I could have left it alone but I would have had to paint the altered items the same colour as the unaltered bits.

Geogebike

 I am waiting for parts so that I can finish the bike. It won't be road legal but it should run and should look a lot faster than it is. The actual bits I am missing are the instruments and head light.. Once that end is done, I can get on with the rear end and sort out the exhaust. My current thought is to buy a simple silencer and some curved pipes from Biltema and put together my own exhaust, there aren't so many curves. I am going to take measurements from the photo using the programme GeoGebra.

More bodges

 I needed to make some sort of panel to cover the electrics under the seat and I thought I would use the steel plate a the back of our old kitchen stove. I had forgotten just how difficult it is to cut with the shears but I managed some rough shapes and folded the edges over to get rid of any sharp edges. The results are quite horrible but will have to do for now.

Playing with instruments

 I connected the old instrument panel and headlight and connected my battery charger to the battery terminals and .... nothing. The reason I use the charger and not the battery is if there is a short in the circuit the battery will supply enough current to melt the wires, the charger won't. It took several days to find the error, but once found everything worked so I started working out how to wire the new instruments. This was a bit of a nightmare for a colour blind person until I had the idea of using the old loom and lamps in the new instruments. I then made some rough brackets and the new instruments are in place. Well there is a reason why they were so cheap, they're shit. From a distance they give that cafe racer look, so job done.
